Potions and Brews or Adventure's Emporium?

As the party talks to Aiko, she tells the party about Elara Elyra and Mirada at Potions and Brews. She also tells the party that Thalyn and Rohir can be found at the Adventures Emporium. The party rests for the night and starts their way to Pots and Brews after having breakfast. Upon arriving at Pots and Brews, one of the local potion shops, Neamhni gives one of the papers to the Goloma and then tries to give the other two to Elara and Elyra, not knowing which is which. Elara the human explains that when Elara and Elyra are together, they often go by their last names Elara Vos and Elyra Moonwhisper (sometime just Moon). Moon also tells the party about how there used to be 16 of them. The party asks what had happened to the other four and Moon explains that two were traitors, one left the group because this life was not for them, and one had died.  Mirada, clearly a cleric, interrupts Moon, and says that it was all their fault that they were unable to revive their friend.  When Elara, Elyra, and Mirada walk out of Potions and Brews, Neamhni bows and perceives that these three have been around other conrasu.

The party then interacts with the proprietor of Pots and Brews. The proprietor’s name is Fizzle and goes by the nickname “Tink.”  Greybold asks for some potions, but realizes he doesn’t have much money.  Tink offers Greybold three unidentified potions for two gold pieces.  Tink explains that one of the craftsmen of potions isn’t very crafty. Tthey often brew some strange potions that are not labeled and Tink is not sure what the concoctions are. The three potions Tink offers are from a box of random potions that would otherwise be thrown out. Greybold thinks two gold pieces is a little steep, but Neamhni pays for them and gives them to Greybold.

The party leaves, Potions and Brews and walks around the outskirts of town to get to the Adventure’s Emporium. Halfway there Neamhni senses something.  Neamhni senses that maybe someone is watching them, or someone was there but just out of sight and utilizes his Root Reading cantrip but ultimately finds out that it is just a well-traveled area. When the party arrives at the Adventure’s Emporium, they are greeted by Arries the shop proprietor. Daffodil proceeds to say that they are there to deliver letters and Arries is confused on if they are meant for her or if they are meant for Thalyn and Rohir. Once the confusion is cleared, Rohir tells the party that they have been given a task by New York and knew that their task was coming, they were just waiting for these letters of notification. Unfortunately, Rohir is not at liberty to disclose what their task is but does reassure the party that New York starts them on simple task to verify their abilities and it will all pay off in the future.

Thalyn and Rokir leave the Adventure’s Emporium and speak with Arries. Greybold attempts to sell the two dog slicers he looted from the goblins they killed on the road back from Twins Bar. Little do the adventurers know that Arries is wise to what they are worth and takes some pity on the group.  She offers to buy them for a silver piece for the two dog slicers. Rolland attempts to deceive Arries and makes up a wild tale of Johnny Wilco, an up-and-coming adventurer with a wild story about how he wields one dog slicer.  Arries is wise to Rolland adds to the story and asks, “Doesn’t Johnny Wilco wield two?” Roland quickly agrees and says that he does wield two! Graybold tries to deceive Arries by attempting to raise the amount of how much Arries is willing to pay. Areies, seeing through Greybold’s attempt, she finds pity and says she is willing to pay two silver pieces for the two dog slicers. In some frustration Fengjui intimidates Arries.  Arries comes clean and tells the party she is fully aware that Rolland tried to deceive her with his Johnny Wilco story, Greybold tried to persuade her, and Fengjui intimidated her.  She explains that it doesn’t matter, because the dog slicers are completely worthless. She’s willing to pay two silver pieces just to get this issue done with. She plans to just throw them out or give them to the kids to play with. The dog slicers aren’t even worth the two silver pieces to begin with!  Graybold finally agrees and takes the 2 silver pieces for the two dog slicers.

Fengjui asks if Arries has any throwing knives.  After some time, Aries pulls out a dirty leather roll from under one of the tables.  The dusty leather roll contains five rusty throwing knives. The knives clearly need work and offers the five rusty throwing knives and leather roll to Fengjui for a half gold. “Normally these would go for one and a half to three gold depending on their condition.” Arries explains. “These knives need some work, so I am willing to let them go at a good price.”  Fengjui ends up passing on the knives. Arries tells the group that if there is anything that they need or are looking for, just ask! She can usually get a hold of it; it just may take some time before she can obtain it for them. Rolland asks for a gun with a dog whistle.  Arries tells Rolland to try back in a week.

As the party exits the Adventure’s Emporium Fengjui tries to steal a rope near the door. Her attempt is thwarted as a throwing knife cuts through one of the loops of the rope and positions itself to catch the rest of the rope, just as though it was meant to be hanging there on the wall. Arries tells Fengjui if there’s ever anything she needs, she can come back and buy it. Fengjui is nearly ready to start a fight.  The rest of the party helps Fengjui exit the shop, just so the town guards don’t get called.
On the party’s way back to Moonlight Willow, as they approach one of the outer roads, they catch sight of eight goblins on the road. One of the goblins yells out, “There they are! Those are the ones we’ve been looking for!” Until the next session when we find out, who do the goblins think they are looking for and what will the adventures going to do about it!
